Q3 Outside Reading #3

I read an article on startribune.com about the Sami people celebrating their traditional reindeer holiday. I found it really interesting that they celebrate a reindeer holiday. The main reason they still do this holiday is to make sure that their culture isn't forgotten in the mainstream culture it is becoming. I can see why they would do this because a lot of cultures are becoming the same these days. Everyone is sorta coming together and some cultures are getting lost. Also some cultures are getting lost in modern day stuff. People are becoming obsessed with tv and computer and such that they are forgetting their original culture. I think its really cool that the Sami people still celebrate their traditional reindeer holday.
